Electroneuromyography (ENMG) is a method of instrumental research, with
which studies the work of muscles and the speed of a nerve impulse in
nerve fibres.
This is a method of functional diagnostics, which is used in cases of suspected
pathology of the peripheral nervous system and the muscular system, as well as with
suspected genetic diseases (in which the
functioning of nerves and muscles).
Most often, neurologists refer the patient to electroneuromyography,
neurosurgeons, surgeons and endocrinologists pointing in the direction of the alleged
diagnosis or examination area. In some cases, expansion is required
research programs such as transcranial magnetic
stimulation (TMS) and/or evoked potentials (EP).
