SONOGRAPHY OF THE MALE ABDOMEN AND PELVIC ORGANS

Organs being examined

Ultrasound examination of the male abdominal organs includes a thorough examination of the liver, bile ducts, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands, bladder, prostate, seminal vesicles, and abdominal lymph nodes, which is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist), using modern and expert equipment.

Ultrasound duration

The survey takes 20-40 minutes․ Patients must register in advance to receive the service without waiting.
Sonography report submission form - you can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.

Indications for sonography

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

Pain in any part of the abdomen
Palpable mass in any part of the abdomen
Dysuric phenomena
Blood in the stool, blood in the urine, or blood in other biological fluids
Blood in vomit
Change in skin color
Increased abdominal volume
Unexplained weight loss
Once a year as a rule

Preparation for sonography

For a planned examination, it is advisable to be hungry or to come to the examination four hours after eating and with a full bladder. In unplanned cases, for example, in case of acute abdominal or "belly" pain, pelvic, back, groin areas, you can come in any condition and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
