Pregnancy Ultrasound

Pregnancy or fetal ultrasound begins in the fourth week of pregnancy and can be performed in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 18-22nd, 31-34th weeks, depending on the gestational age. The examination includes the examination of the fetus's size, body parts, limbs, collar space, heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines, ductus venosus, eyes, brain, nasal bone, upper lip, nostrils, fetal gender starting from the 12th week, umbilical cord, amniotic fluid, uterine walls, cervical length, as well as blood flow in the uterine arteries. The examination is conducted by an experienced FMF certified radiologist-ultrasound specialist with modern and high-quality expert equipment.

Ultrasound Duration: The examination takes approximately 20-40 minutes. Patients must register in advance to receive the service without waiting.

Ultrasound report submission form - you can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.

Pregnancy ultrasound cost in VitaMed MC (Yerevan, Charentsavan, Stepanavan)

Pregnancy sonography costs 8,000 or 20,000 AMD, depending on the gestational age.  

Indications for ultrasound

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Early in pregnancy to confirm intrauterine location
• 1st trimester screening sonography
• 2nd trimester screening sonography
• 3rd trimester screening sonography

Preparation for ultrasound

There is no need for special preparation for a pregnancy examination. If there are any worrying symptoms related to pregnancy, such as lack of fetal movement, bleeding, or pain, you can come in any position and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
