Intravaginal sonography of the female pelvis

An intravaginal ultrasound examination of the female pelvis includes a detailed examination of the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and surrounding tissues. The examination is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist), using modern and high-quality expert equipment.

Ultrasound duration. Examination takes about 15-20 minutes. To receive the service without waiting, patients need to sign up in advance․

Sonography report submission form. You can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.

Preparation for sonography. There are no special prerequisites for the examination, but in an unplanned case, for example, in the case of acute pain in the breast area, you can come in urgently, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.

Indications for transvaginal sonography

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pelvic pain.
• Menstrual disorders, absence of a cycle.
• Previous indications.
• Female reproductive problems.
• Palpable formations in the external genitalia.
• Pregnancy planning.
• During menopause, even with a small amount of blood production, as an emergency.
• Scheduled once a year.

Preparation for transvaginal ultrasound

For a planned examination, it is desirable that patients have an empty bladder. If there are any worrying symptoms, such as pain or heavy bleeding, you can come in any condition, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
