Organs examined during lower limb duplex

Lower limb sonography includes the femoral, popliteal, and tibial veins and arteries, and assesses the presence or absence of venous reflux. The examination is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist) using modern and high-quality expert equipment.

Duration. The examination takes about 20-30 minutes. Patients must register in advance to receive the service without waiting.

Sonography report submission form. You can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.

Preparation for sonography. There are no special prerequisites for the examination, but in an unplanned case, for example, in the case of acute pain in the breast area, you can come in urgently, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.

Duplex of the vessels of the lower extremities costs 15,000 AMD in VitaMed MC (Yerevan, Charentsavan, Stepanavan).

Indications for lower limb duplex

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pain in any part of the lower extremities
• Palpable masses or induration in specific areas of the legs
• Visually visible venous nodules
• Muscle pain while walking: 10 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters
• Other symptoms such as redness, burning, tingling in various parts of the legs

Preparation for lower limb duplex

We do not have any special preparation requirements for lower extremity sonography, but it is desirable that patients be in a relaxed state. If there are any troubling symptoms (such as pain or burning), you can come at any time, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
