Lower limb and neck vessels duplex at home

If you or your loved ones have mobility issues, you can take advantage of duplex examination services at home. An experienced radiologist performs ultrasound examinations of the lower limbs and neck vessels at home (duplex at home). The examination is carried out using modern and professional equipment.

Organs examined

Lower limb sonography includes the femoral, popliteal, and tibial veins and arteries, and assesses the presence or absence of venous reflux. The examination is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist) using modern and high-quality expert equipment.

Duplex sonography of the cerebral vessels includes the brachycephalic trunk, subclavian arteries, common carotid arteries, external and internal carotid arteries, and jugular veins. In some cases, it is also necessary to examine the middle cerebral artery. This examination allows you to assess blood flow, check the patency of blood vessels, as well as their structure in the presence of atherosclerotic plaques.

Indications for lower limb duplex

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pain in any part of the lower extremities
• Palpable masses or induration in specific areas of the legs
• Visually visible venous nodules
• Muscle pain while walking: 10 meters, 50 meters, 100 meters
• Other symptoms such as redness, burning, tingling in various parts of the legs

Indications for neck vessels duplex

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pain or discomfort in the neck area
• Tenderness in the neck area
• Frequent headaches or dizziness
• Ringing in the ears
• Incoordination
• Sudden swelling in the neck area
• Regularly after ischemic stroke
• Scheduled and regardless of the cause.

Preparation for duplex examination

We do not have any special preparation requirements for lower extremity sonography, but it is desirable that patients be in a relaxed state. If there are any troubling symptoms (such as pain or burning), you can come at any time, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
