Duplex of the neck vessels in Armenia

Vessels examined: Duplex sonography of the cerebral vessels includes the brachycephalic trunk, subclavian arteries, common carotid arteries, external and internal carotid arteries, and jugular veins. In some cases, it is also necessary to examine the middle cerebral artery. This examination allows you to assess blood flow, check the patency of blood vessels, as well as their structure in the presence of atherosclerotic plaques. The examination is performed by an experienced ultrasound specialist (radiologist) using modern and high-quality expert equipment.

Duration. The examination takes about 20-30 minutes. Patients must register in advance to receive the service without waiting.

Sonography report submission form. You can receive the results and images of the examination both in paper and electronic form in Armenian or Russian.

Duplex of the vessels of the paranasal sinuses costs 15,000 AMD in VitaMed MC (Yerevan, Charentsavan, Stepanavan).

Indications for neck vessels duplex

Indications for the study include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Pain or discomfort in the neck area
• Tenderness in the neck area
• Frequent headaches or dizziness
• Ringing in the ears
• Incoordination
• Sudden swelling in the neck area
• Regularly after ischemic stroke
• Scheduled and regardless of the cause.

Preparation for neck vessels duplex

There are no special preparation requirements for duplex sonography of the paranasal sinuses. However, it is desirable that patients are in a relaxed state in the design. If there are any disturbing symptoms (e.g. pain, heartburn), you can come at any time, and the sonography will be performed without a queue, with as little waiting as possible.
